田中酒造

建築年：昭和2（1927）年

構造：木造

田中酒造店（店主田中市太郎）の店舗として昭和2（1927）年に建てられ、以来、今日まで営業を続けています。かつての酒造店の店構えを残した数少ない建築で、正面の軒下は、腕木を手前に迫り出す「せがい造り」になっています。大正、昭和初期にかけて、この形の屋根が小樽の木造商店に多く見られました。昭和初期の和風店舗を商品の販売、展示をかねながら修復、活用した良い例といえます。

Tanaka Brewery Shop

Constructed in 1927 as the Tanaka Brewery Shop, with Ichitaro Tanaka as its proprietor and still in business to this day. One of the few remaining sake shops of the period , a crossbeam rises outwards from under the eaves in a segai structure, a style of roof often seen in many wood structure business during the Taisho and early Showa period. This structure presents a typical example where an early Showa- period Japanese-style store has undergone repairs and upgrades while selling products and holding exhibitions.
