旧上勢友吉商店

建築年：大正10（1921）年

構造：石造

小樽では明治末期以降、3階程度の木骨石造が多く建てられていましたが、この商店は小樽に現存する数少ない本石造3階建の店舗建築です。寄棟の瓦葺き屋根にドーマ（屋根窓）を設け、正面壁にキーストーン（要石）を強調した窓を並べた意匠が特徴です。昭和55（1980）年に正面1階左端の出入口が窓に改修されています。

The Former Tomokichi Kamisei Store

Although many three-story stone on wooden framing structures were built in Otaru from the end of the Meiji era, this store is one of the few buildings constructed entirely of stones remaining in the city. Unique characteristics of this building include its sloped tile roof with dormer windows and window design that emphasizes the keystone at the front of the store. The entranceway on the left front of the building was remodeled into a window in 1980.
