小樽市指定歴史的建造物

旧寿原邸

建築年：大正1（1912）年

構造：木造

この建物は、小樽を代表する実業家寿原家の邸宅です。
創建者は、「小豆将軍」として著名な雑穀商高橋直治とされています。
水天宮の北側、急な傾斜地に建てられ、主屋から上手に2つの接客棟を連ねています。
庭園は、斜面を三段に地割りし、上段には和室に面して池を配した日本庭園があり、中段には洋間に六角雪見灯籠を配し、下段では小樽港を見下ろすことができます。

The Former Suhara Residence

The Former residence of the Suhara family, this building is representative of the homes of many Otaru businessmen. Built on a steeply sloped piece of land north of the Suitengu Shrine, two reception buildings are lined up to the south of the main house. The garden separates the slope of the lot into three steps, with the upper level featuring a Japanese garden and pond that faces a Japanese-style room, the middle level six-sided, three legged stone lanterns facing a western-style room and the lower level overlooking the Port of Otaru.
