小樽聖公会

建築年：明治40（1907）年

構造：木造

小樽聖公会の最初の会堂は、明治28年、他の場所に建設されましたが、その後焼失し、この場所に再建されました。
この建物は、水天宮の丘の中腹、急な石段の脇に小樽の町を見下ろすように建ち、木造下見板張り、切妻屋根に鐘撞堂をのせています。
軒のレース飾り、星形模様のバラ窓、やや幅広の尖頭アーチ窓などが特徴です。内部は正面祭壇がある簡素な矩形平面となっています。

Otaru Anglican Church

The original chapel of the Otaru Anglican Church was built in a different location in 1895, however it was lost to fire and the current building was constructed on this spot. Built on the side of Suitengu Hill, the church features steep stone steps that offer a sideward view of Otaru below. As well, the building is clapboard on wooden framing structure with a bell tower on the span roof. Noticeable features of the church include decorative lace designs on the eaves, a star-shaped rose window and the arched windows of the rather wide steeple. Inside, an alter at the front completes the simple rectangular floor plan.
