小樽市指定歴史的建造物

旧小樽商工会議所

建築年：昭和8（1933）年

構造：鉄筋コンクリート造

北海道の発展に寄与する小樽経済界の拠点でした。設計は土肥秀二、施工は萬組で、いずれも地元の手によるものです。外装は石川県産千歳石で彫刻が施され、正面玄関には、土佐産の大理石が用いられています。昭和初期における鉄筋コンクリート造の建物として貴重なもののひとつです。

The Former Otaru Chamber of Commerce

As the base of the Otaru economic community, the Otaru Chamber of  Commerce contributed to the development of Hokkaido. Designed by Hideji Dohi and constructed by Bangumi, both Otaru locals, the building is an important example of early Showa period reinforced concrete construction and features engraved Chitose stone from Ishikawa prefecture on the exterior walls and Tosa marble at the main entrance.
